Devoted Dad Dies in Golf Outing Crash

Lee Morton, a 60-year-old devoted father from Kirby, England, was killed in a car crash on Wednesday, September 10th. According to the Merseyside Police, his black Audi A5 left the M57 motorway and caught on fire. Morton was pronounced dead at the scene.

His wife, Marie, released an emotional tribute, calling him her “soulmate” and a “source of joy, laughter, and kindness.” She said that his greatest passion was golf and that he was doing what he loved on the day he died, surrounded by his friends. She added that her husband’s dog, Enzo, “has been waiting by the window for you to come home.”

His children also paid tribute, saying, “We will look after your best friend Enzo for you we promise.”

On September 12th, John Butler, 31, of Kirkby, was charged with “causing death by dangerous driving and dangerous driving.” He was scheduled to appear at the Liverpool Magistrate’s Court that morning.
