Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office Mourns the Loss of Deputy Quintavious Brown After Brave Fight with Blood Cancer

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is heartbroken today as we announce the passing of one of our own — Deputy Quintavious Brown — who left us on Sunday, October 12, after a long and incredibly courageous battle with blood cancer.

For five proud years, Quintavious served this community with honor, integrity, and a warmth that made everyone around him feel seen and respected. From the moment he put on the uniform, he carried himself with quiet strength and unwavering dedication. Whether he was on patrol, assisting a citizen in need, or simply sharing a laugh with colleagues at roll call, Quintavious brought light into every room he entered.

His smile — that bright, genuine, contagious smile — could turn a tough shift into a better day in seconds. He had a rare gift for making people feel valued, whether it was a fellow deputy, a dispatcher, a member of the public, or someone having the worst day of their life. Quintavious never just did the job; he lived the calling.

Behind the badge was a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a quiet warrior who faced his illness with the same bravery he showed every day on duty. Even during treatment, even on the hardest days, he stayed connected to the RCSO family — checking in, offering encouragement, and reminding us all what true resilience looks like.

Today, our agency is quieter. Our hearts are heavier. And the streets of Rockdale County feel a little less safe without Quintavious watching over them.

To his wife, children, parents, siblings, and extended family — we share your grief and wrap our arms around you. To every person whose life he touched — from the citizens he protected to the brothers and sisters in uniform who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with him — thank you for loving him the way he loved all of us.

Deputy Quintavious Brown didn’t just wear the badge.
He honored it.
He lived it.
And he will forever be part of the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office family.

Rest easy, brother. We have the watch from here. 💙🙏🏽🇺🇸

Until we meet again.
