Robert Irwin’s Dancing With the Stars debut turned into a full-family photo-op—complete with a four-year-old scene-stealer

According to People, his niece Grace (daughter of Bindi Irwin) showed up in a sparkly blue ballgown covered in silver stars, clutching her uncle’s hand while the rest of the clan posed around her.
The shot—posted on both Bindi’s and Robert’s Instagram—features Grace front-and-center, Mom Bindi beaming beside her, Dad Chandler Powell smiling behind, and Grandma Terri Irwin in a burgundy floral dress. It’s the latest example of the Irwins turning every milestone into a group hug.
For Robert, the dance floor is a dream come true: he’s been itching to compete ever since he watched Bindi win the mirrorball ten years ago. “I remember sitting in the audience every live show thinking, ‘I have to do this someday,’” he said. Now, paired with pro Witney Carson, he’s ready to trade khakis for cha-chas.
Before the first dance, he posted: “The fam has arrived for the live show!”—proof that this season will feel like one long Irwin family barbecue, just with sequins and spray tans.
Grace’s twinkly gown added a sprinkle of preschool magic, but the bigger picture is legacy: Robert’s journey is another chapter in the Steve Irwin storybook of resilience, joy, and togetherness.
