Influencer Emilie Kiser Opens Up About Grief and Fear in Return to Social Media After Son’s Tragic Death

Influencer Emilie Kiser has shared an emotional update about her tentative return to social media following the tragic death of her three-year-old son, Trigg, in a drowning accident on May 12. In a new video, she expressed feeling “really nervous” about posting again but also conveyed a deep longing to reconnect with her online community.
Emilie explained that during her time away, she missed the daily connection with her followers. She hopes that by sharing parts of her life again, she can not only rebuild that bond but also offer support to others experiencing similar loss. However, she was clear that her return will come with new boundaries—she plans to be honest but selective, acknowledging that she is still deep in her grief and taking each day as it comes.
She emphasized that she won’t pretend everything is fine, nor does she intend to share intensely personal moments before she is ready. For now, creating content feels therapeutic, but she is uncertain how much of her grieving process she will ultimately reveal.
This comes nearly a month after her initial statement, in which she thanked followers for their compassion and announced she would be establishing stronger boundaries online to protect her family’s privacy. Trigg was unsupervised for several minutes in the family’s backyard pool on May 12 and passed away six days later. Emilie and her husband, Brady, have described their son as their “best friend” and acknowledged the unbearable pain of moving forward without him.
Emilie ended her recent video by transitioning into familiar content—cleaning and resetting her home—signaling a cautious, day-by-day approach to blending healing with her public presence.
