Ressler built his fortune by co-founding the private equity firm Apollo Global Management in 1990, alongside his brother-in-law, Leon Black.
He then co-founded Ares Management less than ten years later, before resigning as CEO in 2017.
Ressler holds part ownership of the NBA team the Atlanta Hawks, in addition to minority ownership of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Nevertheless, the couple are not hoarding all their riches.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she confronted the narrative directly, stating: “But I made more money – far more money – than Tony when I met him. I paid for our first home. I paid for our first vacation. I married him because I fell in love with him.”
The pair met in their twenties, at a time when Ressler was aware she was an actress but hadn’t actually viewed her work.
Reflecting with self-deprecating humor, she quipped: “He was a decent guy with employment, which is what any Jewish girl from Glenview would want. It would have been nice if it was a physician or an attorney, but a financier was acceptable, too.”
