EXCLUSIVE: Author Alleges Sarah Ferguson ‘Had Sex with Jeffrey Epstein’ and Was ‘Deeply in Love’ with Him

The former Duchess of York is claimed to have engaged in a sexual relationship with convicted pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein—but the unsettling love triangle doesn’t stop there. The tangled connections linking Andrew, Fergie, Epstein, and Maxwell have grown even more disturbing. As Sarah Ferguson’s apparently frantic emails and messages to registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein surface in the most recent batch of documents released by the US Department of Justice, new assertions suggest she was once “head over heels in love” with the disgraced financier and that the two may have “spent nights together.” The Epstein documents have unleashed millions of pages online, offering fresh glimpses into the billionaire predator’s life and his ties to those around him—shedding additional light on his strange, troubling relationship with Fergie, whom he is reported to have “financially supported” for fifteen years. From desperate requests for the sex offender to “marry” her to angry accusations that he had “vanished” from her world and “exploited” her—the correspondence has thrust their odd bond back into sharp focus.
Their distorted link contributed to Sarah’s abrupt downfall alongside her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, who has strongly denied any misconduct. This week, on a live episode of his ‘Lownie Report’ podcast on Substack, royal biographer Andrew Lownie stated: “Andrew was involved with Ghislaine, Ghislaine was involved with Epstein … I’ve been told that Epstein and Sarah were involved sexually. It doesn’t surprise me at all.” Now the author, who wrote a revealing book on the Yorks and spoke with numerous people in Andrew and Sarah’s circle, has expanded on his claims in an interview with the Mirror: “Sarah Ferguson was passionately in love with Epstein and reportedly shared several nights with him.” In July 2025, Maxwell herself remarked during an interview with Deputy Attorney-General Todd Blanche that Fergie had “made advances toward Jeffrey.” On his podcast, Lownie further noted: “There’s a complex psychosexual dynamic at play alongside the financial one.
Ghislaine and Sarah were definitely not friends. I believe Ghislaine felt jealous of Sarah, and the feeling was mutual. She saw Sarah as encroaching on someone she considered her own partner.” Andrew himself is said to have been an “intermittent lover” of Epstein’s girlfriend, convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell—an arrangement Lownie describes as “widely known” within Epstein’s inner circle. In Entitled, Lownie details that the purported relationship between Ghislaine and Andrew was intermittent over many years. Andrew has previously acknowledged meeting Ghislaine in the 1980s at Oxford, and the new book asserts that “Andrew restarted his sporadic affair with Ghislaine Maxwell” in May 1999, shortly after turning 40. Both Maxwell and Epstein received invitations from Andrew to royal properties over the years. A former royal protection officer, Paul Page, has previously claimed the pair were romantically linked. In 2022 he stated that he and fellow palace security staff believed the two shared an “intimate connection.” “Given how freely she was permitted to come and go from the palace at any hour, we suspected she might have had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew,” he told ITV. “She had unrestricted access day and night,” Page added, “and my colleagues and I concluded they were involved in some kind of relationship.” Epstein himself acknowledged in 2007 that he and Andrew “shared the same women.” He also referred to the King’s brother as his “closest friend in the world.” Meanwhile, Maxwell has described Andrew as a “dear friend” since her sex-trafficking conviction, though she was reportedly “upset” to learn that the former prince’s legal team insisted the two were never particularly close.
The recently unsealed emails in the explosive Epstein files suggest Ferguson once maintained a very close tie with Epstein. In September 2011, Sarah sent Epstein a message congratulating him on the birth of a “baby boy”—a detail previously unknown about his having children—and followed it minutes later with a furious second message. “Not sure if you’re still checking this bbm [BlackBerry Messenger] but heard from The Duke you’ve had a baby boy,” the first email stated. “Even though you never stayed in touch, I’m still here with love, friendship, and congratulations on your baby boy. Sarah xx.” Just eight minutes afterward, she wrote: “You vanished. I didn’t even know you were expecting a child. It became painfully obvious that you only befriended me to get closer to Andrew. And that wounded me deeply. More than you’ll ever realize.” In another 2009 exchange, she told him: “You are a legend. I truly lack the words to express my love and gratitude for your generosity and kindness… Xx I am at your service. Just marry me.” Sarah Ferguson has been contacted for comment.
