Always leave a spoon of sugar outside before you head out. I had no clue 👇😨 see comments:

Worn-out bees are literally falling out of the air, and most people walk past them like they’re nothing. What they don’t realize is that the tiny creature lying there could be supporting our entire food system. One spoon. Two teaspoons of sugar. A splash of water. That’s enough to bring a collapsing pollina…

Spotting a still bee on a sidewalk or windowsill is no longer just a melancholy part of warm weather—it’s an alarm bell for what’s coming. Many of these bees aren’t gone; they’re simply depleted, stuck far from their hive with no energy left to lift off.
Placing a spoon of regular white sugar mixed with water nearby can give them the fast boost they need to recover and make it back home, where their quiet labor keeps much of our food supply alive.
That small gesture points to a much harsher truth: bee numbers have dropped by nearly a third in only a few years, pushed to the brink by pesticides, disappearing habitats, disease, and a warming climate. These insects pollinate the majority of flowering plants and a huge portion of the fruits, nuts, and vegetables we rely on. Helping a single exhausted bee won’t fix everything—but it turns apathy into care, and reminds us that protecting the planet can start with something as small as what we place on one spoon.
