Father of Renee Good’s Deceased Husband Speaks Out After Watching Newly Released Shooting Video

The father of Renee Good’s late husband has now publicly reacted after viewing a newly surfaced angle of the footage connected to the fatal shooting that took place last week in Minneapolis. The case has rapidly become one of the most divisive and heavily debated incidents in the country, with conflicting versions of events fueling outrage and emotional reactions nationwide.

Good, a 37-year-old mother, lost her life during an encounter involving ICE agents, sparking immediate controversy and widespread public attention. Federal officials claim that she attempted to interfere with agents by using her vehicle in a threatening manner. However, video clips shared widely online appear to show a different perspective, with Good seemingly trying to drive away from the scene at the moment an officer discharged his weapon.

The officer involved in the shooting has been identified as Jonathan Ross. According to reports, Ross was standing directly in front of Good’s vehicle when he fired three rounds into the car. Good suffered fatal injuries and later crashed the vehicle. Footage that quickly spread across social media captured Ross allegedly shouting an expletive toward Good immediately after the shots were fired, a moment that intensified criticism and public anger surrounding the incident.

The shooting has now become a major point of conflict within an already deeply divided political environment. Shortly after the incident, the Department of Homeland Security referred to Good as a “domestic terrorist,” a description later repeated publicly by President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Officials supporting that position argue that Good was attempting to strike ICE agents with her vehicle, allowing Ross to claim he acted in self-defense during the confrontation.

Many others strongly reject that narrative. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey publicly stated that he believes Good was killed unjustly and argued that criminal charges should be brought against the officer involved. Legal experts, civil rights organizations, and many members of the public have also questioned whether deadly force was necessary, especially because portions of the available footage appear to show Good’s vehicle moving away rather than toward officers when the gunshots occurred.
