Stand With Our Brave Heart Warrior, Khaleesi

Our sweet daughter Khaleesi is just 4 years old — she’ll turn 5 this December 1st. From the moment she was born, she’s been fighting an uphill battle against a rare and serious heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).

It’s a condition that has forced her to undergo multiple open-heart surgeries, endless procedures, and more hospital stays than most adults will ever experience. Yet through it all, Khaleesi has faced every challenge with her radiant smile and unbreakable spirit.

She’s our warrior princess — brave, joyful, and endlessly loving. Her dream is to become a doctor one day so she can help others, just like those who have cared for her.

💔 Where Things Stand Now

Right now, Khaleesi is fighting the toughest battle of her life. Her heart is in severe failure, and she’s currently on ECMO life support, a machine that’s keeping her alive.

The medical team plans to take her into surgery soon for a Fontan take-down and shunt placement — a last attempt to stabilize her condition. The doctors have warned us that her chances of recovery are extremely low — around 10%.

If her little body can’t hold on, we may soon have to make the most heartbreaking decision any parent could ever face: to let her go peacefully.

We haven’t lost hope — but we are also facing the painful reality that Khaleesi’s body is tired. She’s fought harder than any child ever should, and she’s done it with courage, grace, and love.

After long discussions with her medical team, we’ve decided not to pursue a heart transplant due to the enormous risks, the waiting time, and the very small chance of success.

Instead, our focus now is on keeping Khaleesi comfortable, surrounded by love, and filled with peace — no matter what happens next.
