Morgan Wallen Apologises After Family Tree Shows Zero Slave Ownership

NASHVILLE, TN — Country star Morgan Wallen has issued a public apology after a genealogy report revealed his ancestors never owned slaves, a discovery he describes as “horrifying and deeply shameful.”
The chart-topping singer said his “jaw hit the floor” as he scrolled through historical records and found not one human being listed among his forebears’ property.
“I’m not my ancestors, but this is still devastating news,” Wallen told reporters, explaining that learning his great-great-great-grandparents were Northern abolitionists left him feeling “sick to my stomach.”
He insists the revelation doesn’t change who he is: “I’m still the same Morgan fans know and love—I’ll always be me.”
To demonstrate his remorse, Wallen announced a $250,000 donation to the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
